The new Moog Filtatron app is now available in the appstore.
Filtatron is a replica of the famous Moog ladder filter that can be found in most of their legendary synthesizers.
Along with the filter the Filtatron also offers an oscillator, LFO, sampler, delay and overdrive.
Ideal for mangeling live audio or creating your own sounds using the on-board oscillator, the filtatron can be used in may creative ways.
The Moog Filtatron app is available now from the Appstore for just £2.99

I found the Moog filtatron app fun and extremely easy to use.
The sound of the filters and VCO are brilliant, it's hard to replicate analog hardware exactly but for an app running your phone it's very close.
It's cheap too, for just £2.99 you can own your very own moog filter.
Combine that with the Amplitube iRig adapter and you have yourself a portable, analog modeled filter and effects unit.
Overall I'm very pleased with the filtron.
It sounds nice, looks good and fits neatly into your pocket.
Go buy it, It's well worth the £2.99 price tag.
Below I've made a quick track using only the moog filtatron app. The sounds were quickly mixed and I added a small amount of compression. Enjoy.
Edit:
Below I've included another sound demo.
This time the Filtatron is processing external audio from my Yamaha digital piano (on the E-piano setting).

Hi Dan
can you explain the Amplitube iRig, does it work well with the piano and the moog app? Dumb question coming: would it work with a midi keyboard?
Thanks
nunuboogie: The iRig is just a way of getting audio into the phone. It works well with the electric piano (and just about any audio).
The iRig doesn’t have midi capabilities itself but there are other apps out there that will allow you to use midi to control them (such as the Akai synthstation http://www.akaipro.com/synthstation25).
